PrimePest Masters is a pest control operation on the US Hwy 290 service road in southwest Austin, and the headline numbers flatter it: a perfect 5-star Google rating. The catch is that this average rests on just three reviews, one of which is twelve years old. That's far too thin a sample to call a track record, and it's the main reason the business falls short of full CertifiedLocal certification despite clearing several of the trust checks. What the reviews do show is consistent, if narrow. Two recent customers both describe the inspection work as the strong suit — one praised a home inspection that turned up problems the owner hadn't spotted, useful for planning follow-up work, and another came away from a termite inspection feeling the explanations were detailed enough to trust the all-clear. The third review, from over a decade ago, raves about same-day emergency response on a mosquito misting system but refers to the company as "TMC," which suggests a rebrand or a review inherited from a predecessor business — worth asking about, since it muddies how much of that history actually belongs to the current operation. On the responsiveness side, the owner replies to reviews, though the replies are brief thank-yous rather than anything substantive. The certification audit tells the rest of the story, and it's mixed. The profile is claimed, a phone number is listed, reviews are recent, and there's no unanswered negative review lurking — all signs someone is minding the shop. But there's no website, no service options listed on the profile, and the business operates a 45-hour week with weekends fully closed, which falls short of the availability threshold. For a pest control company, where weekend callouts and quick research before hiring are common customer needs, both gaps are more than cosmetic. With no website, you can't check service areas, pricing structure, or treatment methods before picking up the phone. If you want a thorough inspection — termites, general pest assessment ahead of a renovation or purchase — the limited evidence points in this company's favor, and the perfect rating with active owner engagement is a reasonable starting signal. Just treat it as a starting signal, not proof. Call during weekday business hours, ask directly about the TMC history, and get specifics on services and pricing in writing, since none of that is documented online. Anyone needing weekend availability or wanting to vet a company with a substantial public track record should widen the search.

„I expected a good home inspection from the pest control service and they delivered, with straightforward communication throughout. They found problems I didn't detect earlier which was useful to plan the future stages."

I have never even thought about mosquitos (because I don't have any) or my misting system itself, until recently. Ive gone out of town twice in the last 6 months and locked my gates for security. My locked gates kept the the guys from TMC from servicing my system and each time I got in town, the mosquitoes were unbearable!!!! I called the as soon as I could, they were here the same DAY!!! The 24 hour response is crucial to me as I refuse to have mosquitoes!!!! Kudos to TMC!!! They have really provided great service!! Thanks guys!!! -Wendy"
